Can I see in advance how I will look?
That is exactly what digital planning is for: the shape and colour of the teeth are agreed before they are made. At the check-up we go through the possible options with you and match the look to your wishes and to what your teeth allow.
How many visits are needed?
It depends on the number of teeth and the complexity of the case. Usually we start with a check-up and planning, then prepare the teeth with temporary restorations, and then place the final restorations. You get the exact plan after the check-up.
Is the procedure painful?
The teeth are prepared under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel any pain. Temporary tooth sensitivity is possible afterwards.
Is tooth preparation irreversible?
If the teeth need to be reshaped, this cannot be undone. That is why it is important that you think it over carefully and that we plan everything well before you decide, and we will explain exactly what the procedure involves.
How do I look after my new smile?
With regular brushing and cleaning between the teeth, check-ups with your dentist, and by avoiding biting hard objects. If you grind your teeth, a night guard may be recommended.
