What Botox is

Botox is a treatment that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for expression lines, most often on the forehead and around the eyes. The aim is not for the face to lose its expression, but to look more rested and natural. The effect is temporary, and the treatment is planned individually.

A more rested face, with your own expression.

A properly planned treatment softens wrinkles without changing your natural expression. That is why we adapt the dose and injection sites to your facial expressions and wishes.

The result develops gradually and differs from person to person. We talk through everything you can expect before the treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to what you ask most often

The answers are general in nature and do not replace a check-up. For advice tailored to you, get in touch with the clinic.

How long does the effect of Botox last?

The effect is temporary and usually lasts about three to four months, sometimes longer, for example on the forehead. It depends on the dose, the area and the body. When it wears off, the wrinkles gradually return.

When will I see the result?

Gradually: the first changes are usually noticeable after a few days, and the full effect after about two weeks.

Will I look frozen?

The goal is for the face to look more rested, not expressionless. With the right dosing and choice of injection sites, your expressions stay natural.

Does the treatment hurt?

Very fine needles are used, so the discomfort is usually mild and brief. The treatment itself is short.

What should I do after the treatment?

Avoid rubbing and massaging the treated area, and avoid strenuous activity for about the next 24 hours. Minor bruising or redness is possible. You get the exact guidelines after the treatment.

Who should not receive Botox?

It is usually not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with some neurological and muscular diseases, an infection at the treatment site, or an allergy to the ingredients. If you take medication, tell us at the consultation.
