Correct tooth position with fixed braces
When the overall condition of the teeth needs to change completely, that is, when they need to be straightened and brought into the correct position, fixed braces are the best choice.
Orthodontic treatment is the most effective dental procedure for situations that cannot be solved with clear aligners.
Before the fixed braces are fitted, we need to take an impression of your teeth at the check-up. This takes a few minutes.
When you come to have the fixed braces fitted, the procedure takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the case.

No pain or discomfort
The treatment is not painful and not unpleasant, and braces are the best way to solve the problem of poorly arranged teeth and an irregular bite.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to what you ask most often
The answers are general in nature and do not replace a check-up. For advice tailored to you, get in touch with the clinic.
How long are fixed braces worn?
It depends on the complexity of the case. It is usually measured in years, from roughly a year onwards. You get an estimate after the check-up.
Does fitting hurt?
Fitting takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the case, and does not hurt in itself. After fitting and after some check-ups the teeth may be sensitive for a few days.
How do I keep my teeth clean with braces?
More carefully and for longer than usual: an orthodontic toothbrush, interdental brushes and floss are used. You will be given instructions, because food debris around the brackets increases the risk of cavities.
How often are the check-ups?
Usually every few weeks, when the appliance is adjusted. Your dentist determines the exact interval according to how the treatment is going.
What happens after the braces come off?
A retainer is fitted, which keeps the teeth in their new position. Without it the teeth can move back, so it is important to wear it as instructed.
Is there an age limit for fixed braces?
There is no strict limit. Orthodontic treatment is possible for adults too, if the teeth and gums are healthy. We make the assessment at the check-up.
